Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Tirupati was established in the year 1965. Spread in a sprawling area of 13 acres, the Vidyalaya has a single block with 40 class rooms and 4 playgrounds. The school is shift-based with shift I having classes I to XII affiliated to CBSE with 3 sections each in classes up to X and two section each in classes XI & XII. The Vidyalaya offers Science and Commerce streams at +2 levels. Shift II has classes from I to X with one section upto Class X. With about 1280 students and 40 Regular staff members, the school has the distinction of being the oldest school in Hyderabad Region. There are separate labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and a Junior Science lab. There are currently three computer labs in operation. Under constant guidance of our highly qualified and experienced Principal, teachers have been making concerted efforts to improve our results in each class every year.
